For anyone that knows me well, they know that I am not a patient person. If I have an idea that pops into my head I have to follow through and make it happen immediately. Interestingly enough, I’ve been VERY patient for the last few weeks. Well... as patient as I have ever been.
We’ve known since December that we needed to make a soap packaging change. Our paper wrap was an okayish bandaid. In addition to the soap packaging tweak, I’ve been itching to update the look and feel of our brand. Let’s not forget that we are in the process of swapping out our plastic containers with more sustainable, eco-friendly options. We’ve chosen to make these changes during the leanest time of the year. Because why not?
Starting next week, we will be switching over our old look to our new updated look. We’ll be rephotographing our products and redesigning our wholesale catalog as well.
Not only do I lack patience but I’m also a bit of a control freak. I stepped outside of my comfy cozy comfort zone and hired an incredible graphic designer to rework our logo and design soap packaging for us. (Her name is Riley. Find out more about her here). I designed the watercolor splashes but then she did the rest. More importantly she simplified our logo. I’ve been over complicating them for years. Adding too much color when I already had a ton of color in my label designs. Check out the evolution of our logos below.
It felt pretty great to let go of a little bit of control. I’m really happy with where we’re headed this year. I’m so glad that you’ve stuck by our side through all of these changes. It means the world to us. Thank you ❤️
