Taking today off and reflecting on 2017 has been eye opening and cathartic for me. So much has happened this past year. Well over 100 thirty pound batches of soap have been made, thousands of candles and bath bombs with only 2.5 (.5 = Amy) people running the show. We took risks, made changes and rolled with unforeseen changes. We’ve already implemented some of the changes coming to our business in 2018. We had to change our soap packaging for the first time in over 4 years. Scary but necessary.
We’ve changed our candle jars twice. Here’s a shocker... I’m going to change them one last time. We ran into supply chain issues with our new candle jars already. This forced me to look directly at glass manufacturers here in the US. I’m happy to say that we have found a manufacturer in Texas. These jars are adorable and exactly what I’ve been envisioning for a while. I hope you love them as much as we do. They’ll be rolling out mid- January.
You may notice that not everything we offer in the shop is available online. This is true for a myriad of reasons from: the hardship of keeping up with demand, to shipping issues, to quality issues. Because every single item is made entirely by 1 person (hi there! It’s me Tanya!) not all products will be available for purchase online. This includes: liquid soap, bath bombs and soy wax melts. 😢 Until we expand and have additional help with making, those items, they will not be available online. You know me... I’ll be sure to add new products to fill those voids.
Our goals for 2018 are lofty. We are in the process of obtaining UPC Codes for our soap and candles. We are planning on breaking into larger retailers this year hoping to land 1-3 regional accounts (cross fingers, knock wood). As it stands, you can find our products in 12 different states and 5 different subscription boxes. We want to more than double that this year. I can’t wait to bring you guys along on that journey.
Be sure to follow along on Instagram or Facebook for future classes and spa nights! My goal is to shoot for one to two classes per month.
Clay, Liam and I honestly cannot thank you all enough for your ongoing love and support over the years. We are so excited to see where 2018 will take us.
With much love & gratitude,
