The first couple of months in a new year has traditionally been ‘slower’. Slow is relative. We’ve been keeping busy but we’re not as busy as we were in December. So during these slower times, I tend to focus on restocking, adding new products and reevaluating all things during a year to year comparison.
Thanks to Clay, we have an insane amount of wrapped backstock. It feels pretty wonderful to pop in the back and know that we have TONS on our shelves.
As far as new products are concerned, I’ve gone a little crazy. Everything from massage oils, shampoo bars, makeup and skin care has been tackled. Not to mention, we are making the switch from plastic packaging to glass/ paperboard in 2018.
Each year I evaluate every tiny aspect of our business. Starting with the products the sell (and the ones that don’t) all the way to day-to-day operations of the shop.
So far, I’ve only decided to bid farewell to our Herbal Tea Lotions. They are not very popular. I just can’t justify their cost or their shelf space. Once they’re gone, they’ll be gone for good. That’s cool though, I’m in love with the new facial oil so there’s that.
Probably one of the biggest changes amongst the plethora of changes in 2018 will be our brand new hours of operation. This change will take place on March 1, 2018. It’s something that’s been on my mind for a while now. Liam is getting older and we want to be able to spend some quality family time with him... together. Which means... we will be closed on Mondays starting in March. We chose our slowest day of the week. We appreciate your support and love so much. We can’t wait to see what huge things 2018 has in store for us all.
Love and Bubbles,
Tanya, Clay & Liam
